CAIRO, (PIC)-- Egyptian military expert Maj. Gen. Tala'at Musallam has asserted that the Israeli assassination attempts carried outside occupied Palestine reflect a Zionist belief that the direct confrontation with the Palestinians became difficult.

In an exclusive interview with the PIC, Musallam opined that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) wanted to send a number of messages through the assassination attempts it executes abroad, including a message to leaders of the Palestinian resistance factions especially Hamas Movement and the Islamic Jihad who are living outside occupied Palestine that they were not in a safe haven.

"This a clear message that the Israeli battle against the Palestinian resistance factions won't remain confined within Palestine, and that the struggle has no limits or redlines because Israel gave itself the sole right to do anything it wishes and anywhere without any respect to Arab sovereignty", Musallam explained.

He pointed out that the USA gave the "Zionist entity" an open green line to carry out any activities it wishes in the Arab and Muslim world.

However, the military expert stressed that the assassination operations that Israel carries out abroad proves lack of self confidence on the part of the Israelis, and that they are not confident of defeating resistance.
