Qassam Brigades: Resistance was founded to counter occupation
[ 15/12/2008 - 06:06 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)-- The Qassam Brigades on Monday stressed that resistance was only formed to fight occupation that only understands the language of force and is only deterred by resistance.

The armed wing of Hamas said in a communiqué to mark the 21st anniversary of the Movement said that it would continue to resist the Zionist project on the land of Palestine and its agents until complete liberation.

It elaborated on the stages of its resistance march, noting that it reached a stage where it is dreaded by the Israeli occupation.

The Qassam Brigades noted that it was targeted ever since it was founded and that its leaders before its cadres were assassinated or killed at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces, recalling that it lost 1,200 Qassam members ever since its establishment 21 years ago.

The armed wing expressed conviction in final victory against occupation, and asserted that return of refugees, freedom of prisoners and establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital would remain its prime target.
