MADA: Escalation of violations against journalists during November
[ 14/12/2012 - 01:03 PM ]

RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- The Palestinian Centre for Development and Media Freedoms (MADA) said that the month of November had witnessed "egregious violations" by the Israeli occupation against journalists and Palestinian media.

Mada said in press statement on Thursday that occupation forces killed during the recent aggression on the Gaza Strip, three journalists, and wounded many of them, and bombed several media headquarters and journalists' homes.

The statement pointed out that these violations were not limited to the Gaza Strip but also the occupation forces suppressed journalists in West Bank who tried to cover the marches in solidarity with the people of the Strip.

The center stressed that the November witnessed the most heinous crimes against journalists in Palestine, adding that the international community faces a new challenge in order to achieve justice for all Palestinian journalists.
