GAZA, (PIC)-- Two Palestinian fishermen were wounded at the hands of Israeli navy gunboats on Monday evening off the coasts of northern Gaza.

Field sources told the PIC reporter that the gunboats attacked a Palestinian fishing boat with five fishermen on board while sailing three nautical miles off the coast.

Medical sources in Shifa hospital described the fishermen’s injuries as moderate.

The Israeli occupation authorities had allowed Palestinian fishermen to fish six nautical miles off the coasts of Gaza Strip in accordance with the calm agreement signed with Egyptian mediation and patronage last 22nd November, but the agreement did not live long due to continued IOA violations.
