GAZA, (PIC)-- Ehab Al-Ghussain, the spokesman of the PA interior ministry in Gaza Strip, has underlined that the security operation against the “misled” group in Rafah was over, hinting to possible involvement of the PA in Ramallah city in the incident.
In a written statement he issued in this regard on Saturday, Ghussain confirmed that the forces of his ministry were combing the area in Rafah district after hospital sources confirmed the death of leader of the “deviated” group Abdullatif Mousa.
“Those militants weren’t part of an organization but rather a group of individuals who bear wrong ideology and carry out bombings in weddings and internet cafes”, underscored Ghussain, explaining that 22 Palestinian citizens were killed in the unfortunate clashes, including six policemen, six civilians, and 10 of the deviated group, including Mousa.
Ghussain explained that the ministry’s officials and local preachers and Ulamas tried to convince the militants to return to the straight way, and to lay down their arms but to no avail.
Moreover, Ghussain revealed that Mousa had good relationship and coordination with the PA security forces in Ramallah city, accusing those forces of attempting to destabilize peace and order in the besieged Strip after they failed to enter the tiny Strip.
Mousa, who was surrounded by heavily armed men of his followers, entered a local Mosque in Rafah and declared the establishment of the “Islamic Emirate” under his command.
For his part, Dr. Younis Al-Astal of Hamas Movement asserted that Mousa’s thinking was mere illusion rather than an ideology.
