GAZA, (PIC)-- Political advisor to the Palestinian premier Yousuf Rizqa said a delegation of senior Egyptian intelligence officials would visit the Gaza Strip and the West Bank soon to push the inter-Palestinian reconciliation talks forward.
Rizqa said in a press release on Monday that the visit would take place in the coming weeks and it is intended to help the Palestinian parties implement what they agreed upon.
"We see this visit as meaningful and of great value, and it would push forward many files especially with regard to passports and political prisoners and help prepare the atmosphere for the upcoming elections," he added.
The official noted in another context that re-opening the election commission's headquarters in Gaza and giving back Mahmoud Abbas his house reflected further Hamas's seriousness about ending the internal division.
