Awkaf minister denounces Arab, international silence
[ 02/01/2010 - 03:30 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Taleb Abu Shaar, the minister of Awkaf (endowment) and religious affairs in Gaza Strip, has denounced the Arab and international silence towards the crimes committed by the Israeli government and fanatic settlers against occupied Jerusalem and its indigenous inhabitants.

Abu Shaar, in a press release on Saturday, pointed to the crimes committed by the Israeli terrorist Yacov Teitel who admitted his planning to launch a criminal act against the holy Aqsa Mosque other than killing a number of Jerusalemites.

He noted that the Zionist courts considered the case as normal homicide and an individual case.

The minister hailed the rallies organized by foreign activists in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem against the Israeli occupation authority's policy of forced evacuation of homes and demolition of others.

He warned that such practices fell in line with judaization of the occupied city and wiping out its historical landmarks.

Abu Shaar urged the Arab and Islamic countries to immediately act to end such criminal policies and to expose its crimes especially when they are escalating.
