GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil, the spokesman for Hamas parliamentary bloc, on Tuesday stressed his Movement’s refusal to engage in any compromises with the Israeli occupation regarding the Palestinian cause.
In an interview conducted by "Palestine" newspaper, Dr. Bardawil said that Shaul Mofaz, the former Israeli war minister, knows better than anyone that Hamas can never compromise the Palestinian rights and that it rejected the Oslo accord and all agreements that followed.
The Hamas official recalled that Mofaz and others stayed more than 15 years negotiating the Palestinians and gave them nothing, expressing his belief that Israel also would give the Palestinians nothing in the future.
He highlighted that the idea of waiving one percent of the Palestinian rights is totally rejected by Hamas, adding that his Movement would not accept less than a Palestinian state established on all lands occupied in 1967 including Jerusalem without recognizing the Israeli occupation.
Regarding the position of Hamas towards Mahmoud Abbas’s decision not to run for elections, the Hamas official emphasized that his Movement is not concerned much about this decision, but what concerns it is to stop tampering with the Palestinian rights and the policy of frivolous negotiations pursued by Abbas.
