GAZA, (PIC)-- The association of Palestinian pharmacists-Balsam said it would hold in cooperation with the health ministry's general directorate of pharmaceutics a conference on pharmaceutical security in the besieged Gaza Strip.

"The pharmaceutical security in the Gaza Strip under blockade" conference, as it was named, will be held on 19 January in Rashad Al-Shawa hall.

Head of the conference's preparatory committee Dr. Sami Abu Aziz said this conference is of great importance because it affects the lives of Palestinians in Gaza which suffers from a cute shortage of medicines and medical supplies.

Abu Aziz told a news conference on Monday that the conference's main aim is to shed light on the crisis of medicines and suggest recommendations and mechanisms to solve the problem.

He noted that Egyptian pharmacists would participate in this conference and an exhibition of Palestinian pharmaceutical industries would be held on its sidelines.
