GAZA, (PIC)-- Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya on Saturday urged Fatah faction to sign the Palestinian reconciliation paper in Egypt according to new arrangements agreed upon with Hamas Movement.

“Let us agree and sign the reconciliation paper in the framework of new and certain arrangements in the heart of the republic of Egypt and not in any other capital,” Haneyya said during a ceremony held in the Palestinian legislative council (PLC) on the first anniversary of the Israeli bombing of the parliament’s headquarters.

The premier stressed that Fatah must have a genuine political will for the national reconciliation, noting that this will require a combination of things including committed political action, adherence to the resistance option and the respect of democratic choices.

He strongly denounced the fabrications and irresponsible statements made lately by Mahmoud Abbas against his government, Hamas and Gaza, saying that such remarks are defeatist and do not reflect the nobility of the Palestinian people.

In another context, premier Haneyya stated Saturday that his government has become stronger than it was before the recent war and will work on building what was destroyed by Israel during its military aggression on the Gaza Strip.

This came during a news conference held in front of the bombed labs of the Islamic university on the sidelines of an opening ceremony of an exhibition containing lab appliances and fragments of Israeli missiles dropped on the university during the war.

Premier Haneyya promised to rebuild the bombed premises of the university in order to be able to continue its academic mission, stressing that this is the obligation of his government towards all Palestinian universities and educational institutions.
