LONDON, (PIC)-- The Arab Organization for human rights in the UK said on Friday it was greatly disturbed for the sharp deterioration in human rights in the West Bank at the hands of the armed militia of Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas and the Israeli occupation forces.
The group also stressed the importance of releasing all the political detainees in the PA jails that the group estimated to be 1012 male and female prisoners, urging the ICRC and other human rights organizations to put Abbas's jails under periodical inspection.
The group plainly accused the Israeli occupation authorities and the PA security forces in the West Bank of gravely violating human rights, and of restricting freedom and movement of the West Bankers that inflicted physical and psychological pain on them.
Moreover, the group charged that a number of the detainees have died under torture sessions in Abbas's jails, adding that many of the prisoners were rushed to hospitals in critical condition due to torture.
Furthermore, the group underlined that security coordination between the Israeli occupation authorities and the PA security departments in the West Bank reached the top, adding that both authorities were exchanging roles in arresting Palestinian citizens in the West Bank using the "rotating door" policy.
"The PA security apparatuses in the West Bank were strongly suppressing its opponents and violating their rights by kidnapping and jailing them in a bid to suppress any idea opposing their system", the group underscored.
The group also accused the PA leadership in the West Bank of sanctioning and encouraging the wrongdoings of the PA police in the West Bank against their fellow Palestinians, and against the political detainees, the great majority of them affiliated to Hamas Movement, in the jails of Abbas.
