AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday severely beat up two Palestinian children in the Old City of Al-Khalil without any apparent justification, locals reported.

They said that Hazem and Husam Sharbati were hospitalized following the savage assault.

Eyewitnesses said that both children were near their father's home when the IOF soldiers battered them.

In a related development, the Mezan center for human rights charged Israeli leaders with lying, adding that those leaders still believe that they are immune of any prosecution and that they are above the law.

The center in a statement on Tuesday said that Israeli chief of staff Gabi Ashkenazi's claim that none of his soldiers had deliberately killed Palestinians was false or else why did his government refuse to open serious investigations into its war crimes in Gaza.

The center questioned whether the killing of the brothers Ibrahim and Kassab Sharab before their father and preventing ambulances from reaching them was not deliberate and whether killing 22 members of the Samoni family was not deliberate and listed other examples during the war on Gaza.
