Haneyya to meet Carter in Gaza
[ 16/06/2009 - 09:03 AM ]

GAZA, (PIC)-- PA premier Ismail Haneyya is to meet on Tuesday with former US president Jimmy Carter in the Gaza Strip to discuss latest political and field developments in the Palestinian lands, especially in the Strip.

The Palestinian information ministry in a press release on Monday said that the meeting would take place at the new cabinet premises at noon Tuesday.

It added that Haneyya-Carter discussions would also tackle the devastating results of the latest Israeli occupation forces' war on Gaza, which left more than 1,400 people killed and almost 6,000 others wounded mostly women and children.

The closure of all Gaza crossings and depriving its inhabitants from the freedom of movement would be also on agenda of the talks, the ministry concluded.
