Haneyya returns to Gaza to warm reception
[ 10/01/2012 - 07:26 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)-- Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya returned to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah border terminal on Tuesday evening after a tour of four countries.

Haneyya told an official and popular reception that his tour of Egypt, The Sudan, Turkey, and Tunisia was successful and practically reflected a break in the political siege imposed on the Strip.

He expected that results of his tour would materialize in the upcoming period in the form of greater support for the Palestinian people.

The premier said that he would embark on a second foreign tour soon in response to invitations from Arab and Islamic countries, adding that it would symbolize breaking the blockade on Gaza.

Arab and Islamic leaders said that Gaza was the inspiration for the Arab Spring and inspired the revolt against tyranny and oppression in the region, Haneyya said.
