AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested four Palestinian children on Sunday near the Ibrahimi Mosque, in al-Khalil, after assaulting them.

Local sources told PIC's correspondent that the Israeli soldiers, stationed near the Ibrahimi Mosque, stopped the four boys at the military checkpoint erected there and searched them. The detainees were taken to a nearby military center.

Meanwhile, dozens of settlers stormed on Sunday the Old City of al-Khalil, under the protection of the Israeli soldiers.

Eyewitnesses told PIC's correspondent that the settlers grouped in front of the shops, accompanied by dozens of heavily armed soldiers, before heading to the vicinity of the Ibrahimi Mosque.

Some of them, the witnesses added, attacked the citizens.

Earlier, a group of settlers severely beat a Palestinian child on Saturday evening before he was arrested in Bab al-Zawiya and moved to an unknown destination.
