GAZA, (PIC)-- The PA caretaker government headed by premier Ismail Haneyya stated that it is ready to facilitate the entry of Egyptian fuel supplies to the Gaza Strip after Egypt announced a plan to provide the Strip with its fuel needs, expressing hope that this step would be translated on the ground as soon as possible.

Egyptian minister of petroleum Sameh Fahmi had revealed that there is an integrated program for supplying Gaza with gas and fuel in order to end the fuel crisis.

For his part, Ziyad Al-Zaza, the minister of economy in Gaza, expressed his government's thanks to Egypt for this positive position, but he said that so far there were no procedures or contacts in this regard.

Zaza said that the government looks forward to the moment when the Palestinian economy becomes open to the Arab market through the Egyptian gateway and liberated from the Israeli economic subordination.
