OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The family of Rachel Corrie, who was killed by an Israeli army bulldozer in the Gaza Strip, filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against the Israeli government demanding compensation.
Corrie, an American activist, was killed while trying to dissuade the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from razing a Palestinian home on 17/3/2003.
Corrie's family would ask for 324,000 dollars in compensation for the killing of their daughter, who was a member in the international solidarity movement supporting the Palestinian people.
Witnesses said that driver of the IOF bulldozer must have seen Corrie, 23, before heading towards her.
Cindy Corrie, Rachel's mother, said that the family was still looking for justice seven years after Corrie's murder. Two former activists are expected to testify before the Haifa court in the case.
