Bahar: Ramallah budget not legal
[ 11/03/2010 - 02:05 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the first deputy speaker of the Palestinian legislative council (PLC), stated Wednesday that the approval of any budget for the PA away from the PLC’s endorsement is constitutionally null and void and violates the basic law.

Dr. Bahar stressed that the illegal and unconstitutional approval of this budget would make it a debt imposed on everyone approving or tabling it for discussion apart from the PLC.

Salam Fayyad, the head of the PA government in Ramallah, declared lately his intention to submit the 2010 PA budget to what he called the parliamentary groups for discussion and approval.
